St.Andrew's Guild is Moffat's branch of the Church of Scotland Guild.
Countrywide, there is a membership of about 40,000, making the guild
More men, across various congregations, are gradually joining, and we look forward to this at St. Andrew's. Currently, local membership is about 40. The Guild invites and encourages both women and men to express their faith in worship, prayer, action and fellowship, and offers opportunities for this in its fortnightly meetings. These take place in the Church Hall, at 2.30 p.m. on alternate Tuesdays.
All Guilds follow the same annual theme, and this year's is, "Dare to Care - With Compassion". The speakers for our meetings are chosen to reflect this.
Selected charity projects and the involvement of members in various aspects of Christian service, present opportunities to put care into action.
Why not come along, and see if you would like to join us? You would be very welcome.
The programme runs from October to March.

The
Children of primary school age attend the first part of the service and then go to their classes. We use the Church’s Ministry material which offers a wide variety of ideas for stories, games and art work.
Apart from the importance of Christian teaching we aim to encourage our young people to be aware of the needs of others not only in our own community but throughout the world; we place a lot of emphasis on caring and sharing and we enjoy raising money for various charities throughout the year.
We follow the Child Protection procedures required by law and the Church of Scotland.
